Anzac Day 2010

Anzac Day at Bribie Island is always a very special day, and one that we feel extremely priviliged to participate in! This is a day where we can say "thankyou"! Even though the Mascots are very popular on Anzac Day, it is not about them on this occassion, so we do try to play them down on the day. This year, we took Darcy, on his very first "formal" day out, and he had Lucy there, just to give him some added support in such an important march! Lucy is an old hand at the formal occassions, so handled the whole day with total ease, and Darcy made us feel so proud - he behaved faultlessly for the whole day! Very sadly, we had to leave Audrey at home, as, she is still recovering from her second major surgery for cancer. Today was so difficult for me without my precious little girl, as I realise that some day I will no longer have her beside me. Darcy is "Acting Lead Mascot" again while Audrey recovers! He just keeps improving every time we go out - well done Darcy!
